Zachry Group has deep experience in the development, design and construction of gas infrastructure, including pretreatment, liquefaction and other processing facilities and transmission terminals. We are a leader in expanding America’s energy export capacity, with completed and in-progress projects in this sector valued at over $15 billion USD since 2015 including: design, procurement and construction of facilities for crude oil, refined products, petrochemicals, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
In 2021, Venture Global LNG announced a new partnership with Zachry Group in the development of the Plaquemines LNG export project. KBR and Zachry Group will together, through a joint venture, as KZJV, execute the development, engineering, procurement, and construction under the EPC contract for Phase 1 of Plaquemines LNG. KZJV will integrate highly modularized, owner-furnished equipment for the 10 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) nameplate facility. In 2023, Venture Global also issued a full notice to proceed to KZJV to continue construction on Phase 2 of Plaquemines LNG, increasing the facility's export capacity to 20 MTPA. The 632-acre facility will include 36 modularized 0.626 MTP liquefaction trains, six modularized pre-treatment trains, three ship loading berths for LNG vessels carrying a capacity of up to 185,000 cubic meters and four 200,000 cubic meter full containment LNG storage tanks.
As U.S. unconventional oil and gas production expands, Zachry Group has the experience and expertise necessary to support customers' needs in processing, storing and transmitting key transitional energy products for domestic use and export to growing world markets.
