Zachry Holdings, Inc. grows Southeast presence with purchase of industrial fabrication facility
Zachry Holdings, Inc. will further expand its presence in the Southeastern U.S. with the purchase of a large industrial fabrication facility in Moss Point, Miss., from Day & Zimmermann (D&Z). The facility fabricates piping systems and vessels for large projects in the power, petrochemical, refining, forest products and other markets. “With the support and leadership of Jackson County and the City of Moss Point, we are happy to begin our transition into the Moss Point facility, which will strategically serve the southeast region with our enhanced fabrication capabilities,” Kirk McDonald, Zachry Executive Vice President said. “The area is ideal in regard to our plans for growth, increased employment and proximity to many of our jobs sites and customers.”
Zachry has had a continuous presence in the area for nearly 10 years through the Moss Point Employment Center and a maintenance contract with Chevron, in nearby Pascagoula. Zachry enjoys partnerships with several area non-profit organizations such as the local Salvation Army Angel Tree, American Cancer Society, C.A.S.A., Daily Bread and March of Dimes.
“The Jackson County Economic Development Foundation (JCEDF) welcomes Zachry Industrial again to Moss Point as they add their newest facility to Jackson County. No stranger to the area, Zachry is familiar with our local industry, business climate, labor availability and public-private approach to economic development,” George Freeland, executive director of JCEDF said. “Community and government leaders including Moss Point Mayor Aneice Liddell, the Moss Point Board of Alderman, and the Jackson County Board of Supervisors all worked diligently to bring Zachry to this location. We look forward to continued investments in the facility and the increased employment it will bring to the community.”
