SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 5, 2016) — Zachry Group was recognized by BASF Corporation with its Supplier of the Year Award for Innovation. Zachry’s Industrial Services Group President Steve Brauer accepted the award, which recognizes Zachry for its innovative contracting approach and its progressive maintenance practices in BASF’s Gulf Coast system, at an awards ceremony dinner on March 23.

"It’s an honor to be recognized as the best in this category, and we are appreciative of this prestigious recognition from BASF and its leadership," said Brauer.

"The leadership and cultural alignment we share with BASF allows us to better focus on key objectives of safety, cost and asset effectiveness, collectively applying the resources of both companies on the right issues," added Senior Vice President Scott Duffy, who received the award with Brauer. "A secondary benefit is a consistent operational platform across five Gulf-Coast manufacturing sites and between multiple BASF business units."

Zachry was one of three nominees for the award, selected from among thousands of BASF suppliers. This is BASF’s second Annual Supplier Awards, which recognizes partners in three categories: innovation, performance and sustainability.
