Zachry Group awarded EPC contract for OPPD Power with Purpose project

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Zachry Group (Zachry) has been awarded an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract by Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) for its Power with Purpose (PwP) project. Zachry will be responsible for the design and construction of both OPPD’s new natural gas generation facilities, Standing Bear Lake Station, a 150 MW facility in Douglas County, Nebraska and Turtle Creek Station, a 450 MW facility in Sarpy County, Nebraska, and associated substations.

Design work is under way and major construction is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2022.
